Software Engineer / PLC Programmer
ZELTWANGER Leak Testing & Automation LP (Charleston, USA)

Tasks:

• Design, startup and commissioning of machine software for ZELTWANGER’s automated machines and systems
  
• Develop plc and HMI software according to specified requirements and according to internal standards
  
• Program and power-up systems in house for IAT (internal acceptance test)
  
• Complete machine software throughout FAT (final acceptance test) at customer sites across North America
  
• Professional documentation of own software
  
• Provide operational training of systems to customers
  
• Closely collaborate with German counterparts. Concentrations on Allen Bradley, sometimes Siemens/Beckhoff
  

Your profile requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering or suitable combination of education and work experience
  
• Minimum of 5 years experience with industrial production machinery, including AB plc controller platforms
• Safe understanding of US/CA electrical standards
• High level of technical and practical experience in troubleshooting
• Strong customer orientation & communication skills, advocate of ZELTWANGER to win/retain customers
• Able to travel throughout North America (driver license required), and occasionally to Germany
• Additional plus: Second language skills, e.g. German or Spanish
